I’ve taken on too many writing projects. Until recently, I had the following in the works:
- Okulous-10, a daily science fiction serial.
- A weekly nonfiction project related to my professional life.
- Ongoing short stories.
- A novel within the same story universe as my short story Saturn: Journey to the Core.
This is four projects too many.
From a time standpoint, I’m not able to keep them all going. Creatively, my brain is losing track of the characters and happenings. Therefore I’ve made a tough decision to discontinue Okulous-10 and not produce any additional short stories (unless it absolutely needsto get out) until I finish the novel.
I write this to give grace to the other writers who are having a tough time giving up on a project they feel passionate about. It’s okay, and it will be there when you return.
Take on less so you can accomplish more.

Tough choice, but dedicating more time to one while the other one marinates a bit might prompt some new ideas in the future when you have more time to revisit. Props to making hard decisions.
